Harrow Independent College (HIC) is a college specialising in Mathematics, Science and Economics. The college aims to benefit students between the ages of 16-19. It is based in the heart of Harrow, in London. 

Facilities

Facilities include multiple classrooms, two science laboratories, an art studio, and an ICT suite. There is a large hall in which assemblies and examinations take place.

  • Debate club provides a platform which is fun and focus on educational enrichment. Debates centre around topical issues chosen by the students.

Admission Details

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

GCE A Level Courses Entry Requirements – HIC selects students for two year A-Level Courses according to the below mentioned entry criteria:

  • The student must have grades between A*-C in his/her GCSE exams (5 subjects).
  • Mathematics and English with minimum C grades are a pre-requisite.
  • If the student doesn’t have Mathematics and English, he/she can still enrol in the course however, he/she must take/ retake their GCSE exam for Mathematics and English and must obtain minimum grade C to qualify for the two year A-Level full time course.

BTEC Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Computing Entry Requirements – HIC selects candidates for HNC in Computing according to the below mentioned criteria:

  • Relevant work experience or a Level 3 qualification, ideally in a related subject, plus GCSEs at grade A*-C/9-4 including English Language and Mathematics.

BTEC Higher National Diploma (HND) in Data Analytics and Intelligent Systems Entry Requirements – HIC selects candidates for HND  according to the below mentioned criteria:

  • Level 4 Higher National Certificate in Computing
  • Relevant work experience or a Level 3 qualification, ideally in a related subject, plus GCSEs at grade A*-C/9-4 including English Language and Mathematics.
