Gurukula - The Hare Krishna Primary School is Independent Primary school in Hertfordshire for kids aged 4 to 11 (Gender - Mixed )
Gurukula is a term used in Sanskrit to reference a spiritual school. Srila Prabhupada, the founder of the Hare Krishna Movement, saw these kind of schools as the basis for improving future generations of society. The aim is that children grow with strong character and devotion, and are confident in their beliefs, secure in themselves and bright. The culture that is central to the Gurukula is one of faith and nurture. The faith element is about believing in our children, challenging and encouraging them to achieve their potential. That is why nurture is so important in order that children grow with confidence and they have the freedom to be themselves and to express their opinions and thoughts.
