Description

Crickhowell High School is a State Secondary school for kids aged 11 to 18 (Gender - Mixed )

They have more than 200 students in our very successful Sixth Form, studying more than 30 subjects at A2 and A Level and also able to experience a range of vocational courses as well as a rich menu of extra-curricular activities.  National ALPs data places our Sixth Form performance in the top 5% of schools in the UK.From Year 7 to 11 they operate a five-form entry with approximately 150 students in each year group, coming to us from more than 26 feeder primary schools.  The younger students now have the opportunity to choose their GCSE options at the end of Year 8, allowing them a more measured study, preparation and examination timetable over an extended 3-year time period from Years 9 to 11.  This in turn enables the teaching staff to identify where additional support is needed at an earlier point in time, easing the journey of the students through this important  phase of their education and ensuring they achieve superb results whatever their level of ability.
