Coxlease School has a very strong sports department as well as a variety of on-site sporting facilities, including:

Outdoor education: Outdoor education is a big focus for Coxlease School and looks set to develop further with the upcoming appointment of a new outdoor education specialist teacher. They believe learning in the natural environment is hugely beneficial for young people, which is why they offer a range of activities, including:

  • Surfing
  • Sailing
  • Forest school (Coxlease School is set within the New Forest National Park)
  • Horse riding
  • Mountain biking
  • Environmental forest walks

Community-based clubs and activities: They actively encourage pupils with a particular interest/hobby to continue these activities and can support them to do so. The school has its own transport and funds set aside to help pupils access off-site clubs and societies. Young people from Coxlease School have previously been involved in, for example, Dungeons and Dragons clubs and after school football clubs.
