Clay Hill School is an independent specialist day school for young people with autistic spectrum conditions (ASC) and associated complex needs. They provide education for young people aged 5 to 19 years.

Comprehensive physical education curriculum offers young people the chance to participate in a huge variety of sports in the course of their education, such as:

Clay Hill School places a strong emphasis on learning in the natural environment. This element of the school looks set to develop even further with the recent appointment of a new outdoor education specialist. Activities have previously included:

  • Forest skills

Community-based clubs and activities: If a young person at Clay Hill School has a particular interest then they encourage them to take part in activities by joining an off-site club or society in the local community. They will provide support to help pupils access community-based clubs. Young people from Clay Hill School have previously been involved in:

  • Rock Challenge (this is a national schools event where young people present a dance/music/theatre piece based on a theme).
