Copthall School is leading State Secondary school in London. This is a Non-selective school for kids age 11 to 18 years. Copthall School is a high achieving and exceptionally successful girls’ comprehensive school for students aged 11 to 18.  The mission statement, ‘Excellent Education for All’ and our five key Values underpin everything that we do to ensure all our students leave us confident, ambitious and determined to be the very best they can be.Student mental health and wellbeing is woven throughout our pastoral programme and sits front and centre of our school development plan as does our commitment to Equality Diversity and Inclusion.  Our aim is to ensure our students have the best possible education and pastoral care so that they can remain happy, healthy and thrive socially, emotionally and physically.

Facilities

Key Stage 3
Students study a broad range of subjects at Key Stage 3. We emphasise the importance of core skills and knowledge with substantial time being devoted to English, Maths and Science at KS3, so that students are given every opportunity to progress academically and are proficient in skills of Reading, Writing, Communication and Mathematics. The Copthall curriculum also offers a full breadth of foundation subjects taught within a balanced two-week timetable.Students have the opportunity to study two Modern Foreign Languages throughout Key Stage 3 so that they are fully prepared for making suitable option choices at Key Stage 4. History and Geography are taught as discrete subjects, as are the foundation subjects of Computing, Physical Education and Citizenship which is delivered as part of the PSHE curriculum.  Dance is taught as a discrete subject at Key Stage 3, which is a part of a long established school tradition.

Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5
Copthall provides courses to meet the aptitudes and aspirations of all of our students. Transitions into Key Stages are planned in detail and with consideration to the needs of individuals so that the support for students when making subject choices at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 are informed and balanced.Equal opportunities are an integral part of our curriculum planning and our practice.  Whilst we provide individual support to students where needed, our curriculum is one which celebrates and is built around an inclusive approach.  We firmly believe that all of our students are part of a strong and diverse community who are entitled to full access of subjects and experiences.

Sixth Form
They have a dedicated Careers Advisor who works with you individually to ensure that you get the most up to date and personal advice on how to achieve your chosen career. Offering a range of opportunities with our parent schools and nationwide business links. Our opportunities for you are wide ranging, for example, all Year 12 students take part in a work experience programme for a week in June or July.  Our previous employers have included Financial, Health, Education and Law firms such as UBS, eBay, Home Office, Royal Free Hospital, University College London Hospital, UBS, Wilson Wright, Moorfield Eye Hospital, Primary Schools, local nurseries, Boots, Ecoworld, Elysium Healthcare, Evershed Sutherland, Grower Freeman, Hoffman Bokaei, Mill Hill Dental Practice and many more
