Al-Huda Academy is a registered charity and was established in 2005 to serve the needs of the Muslim youth and wider community. The work of the Academy focuses on developing the spiritual, moral and social wellbeing of the young, with a particular focus on youths, in accordance with the principles of the Hanafi school of thought. They began with the Little Gems foundation unit and have now successfully developed further into the Al- Huda primary school to continue with the child’s balanced education. They are a faith-based school and welcome all sections of the community. The school is a resemblance of our faith that the Almighty brings together in a community of love and care. They offer the pupils an environment in which they have opportunities to grow in knowledge and in faith.

Facilities

Early Years
Children grow physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually through activities relating to themselves and others. Within the school, they have a wealth of diversity of thought, experience and culture, which enhances each child’s development. It is their intention to create a very happy ‘family school’ where there is a sense of purpose and well-being, a connection with thr precious pupils and their families, a place where children and adults are glad to be. Good behaviour is looked for, acknowledged and always rewarded.

Curriculum
They believe that effective learning depends on the sharing of knowledge and ideas. To enable this to happen they need to make sure that our pupils become good communicators, listeners, readers, and writers up to their ability. Literacy takes place throughout the school, each morning. All pupils in both key stages are taught in classes and learning support staff work alongside teachers in some classrooms. The National Literacy Strategy is fully implemented and regular curriculum evenings keep parents informed.
