Pre School
A warm and friendly welcome starts the day as parents bring their children into Pre-School and say ‘hello’ to their teachers. Every day is filled with a happy mix of learning and fun as the children explore their world and enjoy countless new and exciting experiences.Familiar routines structure the day so the children feel safe, secure and ready to follow their interests and discover lots of new ones too. Activities take place both indoors and outside in our beautiful school grounds.Every day ends with quiet time for a story whilst parents gather to hear about the day’s adventures! The school occupies three buildings. In addition to the main house, the Pre-School is situated downstairs in the old stables, with the school hall, science lab and other specialist classrooms located in a modern facility, making this the perfect environment for your children to flourish.
Pre Prep
The Lower School children are busy with a wide range of tasks and activities all day and every day! The importance of learning to read, write and be numerate is embraced through daily challenge and practice at Pre Prep level.Regular homework will help you to support and extend development at home so that your child can strive to achieve their best at all times. Independence is encouraged and good manners, care and courtesy are evident at all times.The small classes ensure everyone has the time and space to contribute to class learning and to make the most of every exciting opportunity offered. Achievements are celebrated daily help encourage all children.
Prep
Upper School children thrive in the calm environment at Clevelands, with a strong work ethic and emphasis on striving for success, your child will enjoy a full day here. Well-structured and stimulating lessons lead to strong progress during the Prep School level. Specialist teachers stretch children’s skills in Music, Art and Physical Education. Older children benefit from specialist teaching in Mathematics and English.At the end of each day, there are a variety of clubs to develop their interests. Finally, homework finishes the day, complementing work carried out in lessons.
Extra Curricular
At Clevelands School we put a significant emphasis on what happens outside of the traditional learning area. School trips and extra curricular activities are important for children’s education.
