Features

Things to note

  • High-quality clubs and activities are an essential part of school life at Abbey Gate College, Infant and Junior School. They provide opportunities to enrich pupils’ experiences beyond the curriculum and an excellent medium to foster good relationships. They can also develop social skills by providing a forum for interaction between pupils of different ages and schools.
  • Within all Departments in the Senior School they believe that pupils learn more effectively and develop a wider range of skills and deeper knowledge when they have the opportunity to do so beyond the classroom. These opportunities include frequent theatre visits, field expeditions, both regional and overseas for history and geography.
  • All of Sixth Form students are expected to play a full role within the College. They undertake a number of roles throughout their two years and this helps to foster the strong sense of community that exists throughout the College. They provide ample opportunities for students to increase their self-confidence and organisational abilities, as well as adding to their Curriculum Vitae.
