V&A Museum of Childhood

Description

Young V&A is open seven days a week. General admission is free and you don’t need to book. Children visiting Young V&A must be supervised by an adult at all times.

There are three big galleries at Young V&A, called Imagine, Play and Design. There are sometimes exhibitions which may carry an entrance charge, but there's always something to do.

Facilities

  • Parking: Parking cars nearby is limited, so we advise using public transport. The nearest accessible parking spaces are at Parmiter Street.
  • Food & Drinks: The Town Square Café is open 10.00 – 17.00 Monday to Sunday, with a range of hot and cold meals, cakes and pastries, teas and coffee. Children can pick from our lunchtime meal boxes. Highchairs and bottle warming facilities are available. Alcohol is not permitted on site.
  • Toilets: Our toilets are across the building. Baby changing facilities are in both men's and women's toilets on the lower ground floor.
  • Lockers and luggage: There are 24 free storage lockers on the lower-ground floor, available for use on a first-come, first-served basis.
