Solley’s Ice Cream in Ripple, near Deal, is the largest independent ice cream maker in the South East, producing up to 4,500 litres daily with milk and cream sourced just a mile from the farm and 85% of ingredients locally supplied. More than 15 flavours are created on site, with seasonal specials for summer and Christmas, and the Ice Cream Parlour & Café offers over 20 flavours by cone, cup, or tub, along with sundaes, light lunches, snacks, and the famous 12-scoop Solley’s Super Bowl. Visitors can enjoy a free farm trail, tractor rides, the Amaize-ing Maize Maze, summer bundles, and scenic walking and cycling routes through the Kent countryside.

The Pub at Solley’s, located beside the campsite, serves drinks, boards, pastries, snacks, and hosts regular events including quiz nights, live music, and food pop-ups. The small, friendly campsite offers pitches for tents, caravans, and motorhomes, complete with electricity, waste disposal, and upgraded toilets and showers, just 20 minutes from Dover and close to Kent’s coast and Canterbury.   • Driving Directions for Coaches & Larger Vehicles to Solley’s Ice Cream Parlour
    • Approach on the A258 Dover Road, passing Ringwould and heading towards Walmer.
    • Turn left onto Ripple Road (just after the car wash centre).
    • Continue straight down the long stretch, cross the railway bridge, then turn right at the T-junction.
    • Drive carefully through the crooked “S” bend into the village.
    • Follow the road past The Plough Pub (do not turn right here).
