Paignton Zoo is a beautiful 80-acre zoo in Devon, home to over 2,000 animals and vibrant botanical gardens. It’s the perfect place for families and wildlife lovers of all ages to explore, learn, and enjoy nature. Open daily (except Christmas), the zoo offers a full day of discovery and fun.

Guests can enjoy unique animal experiences, meet giraffes, rhinos, and tortoises, and explore stunning plant habitats. Exciting events like GloWild, Santa visits, and preschool sessions add something special to every season. The zoo also offers Keeper for a Day and animal adoption programs.

Online ticket prices without donation start at £23.95 for adults, £17.95 for children (3–15), and £74.50 for a saver ticket (2 adults + 2 children). Toddlers (1–2) enter at £2.50.

With free parking, play spaces, tasty food options, and live animal webcams, Paignton Zoo makes for a fun, relaxing, and educational outing. It’s more than just a zoo—it’s a wild day of unforgettable experiences for all ages.

Animal experiences allow you to get up close and personal with some of our most popular animals, such as the giraffes, giant tortoises, rhinos and more!

  • Animal adoption: From big to small, weird to wonderful, they are home to a variety of animals here at Paignton Zoo, some of which you can adopt from as little as £25 per year!
  • Webcams: Watch some of your favourite animals LIVE with our zoo webcams!
  • Events: Paignton Zoo’s upcoming events include a Zoological Murder Mystery on 15 September and monthly Library Sessions for preschoolers from September to December. The GloWild winter lights event runs 17 November–2 January with illuminated displays and a festive Food Village. Christmas at the Zoo features Santa visits, music, and crafts from 19 to 24 December.   • Food & Drinks: If you would like a tasty meal, hot drink or scrumptious ice cream, they have plenty of different food and drink options for you at Paignton Zoo.
  • Parking: The zoo has free parking for 1,110 cars on site and some further parking in our overflow car park a short walk away. This is available on a first come, first served basis. 
  • Baby changing: Zoo has several baby changing facilities located throughout the zoo.

By Car: Paignton Zoo is located on the A3022 Totnes Road, 1 mile from Paignton town centre. Once in Paignton follow the brown tourist signs marked with an elephant and ‘Zoological Gardens’. The zoo has free parking.
