Features

  • Rainforest Biome: Explore our enormous indoor rainforest. Trek through the humid tropics from tropical islands to SE Asia, and West Africa to tropical South America. Visit our accessible canopy walkway for stunning views over the Biome. Inside the Biome, you'll discover how rainforests support us all. At the Weather Maker exhibit, you can shelter from tropical rain, journey into clouds and find out how rainforests cool the Earth. Travelling past groves of rubber trees and cacao, and swathes of sugar cane and bananas, you'll get to the spice market where you'll find out how to care for the rainforest and support people who live in the tropics.
  • Mediterranean Biome: Experience sights, scents and stories from the Mediterranean, California, South Africa and Western Australia in this breathtaking Biome. With the sweet aromas of herbs in the air, you'll take an unforgettable journey through a paradise of brightly coloured flowers, gnarled olive trunks and bountiful vines. Explore the unique and colourful flora of Western Australia, which thrives on the Earth's oldest and most infertile soils. Find towering aloes and enormous protea flowers in our recreation of the Fynbos (Afrikaans for 'fine bush').
  • Outdoor Gardens: In a beautiful and symbolic transformation, we've turned what was once a barren landscape into our striking contemporary Outdoor Gardens. Across the vast slopes of the former clay mine, we present cultivated and wild landscapes and explore our dependence on both. The Gardens are home to over 20 plant-based exhibits, colourful seasonal borders, art installations and play areas. The Wild Edge area displays the world’s temperate lands while the Crops area introduces plants for food, fuels, medicines and materials.
  • Premium Experiences: Make your visit even more memorable with one of our Premium Experiences, offering an exclusive and interactive exploration into the heart of the Eden Project with one of our expert tour guides. All tours can be purchased as a gift experience and discounted prices are available if you already have Eden admission or you're a Member.
  • Invisible Worlds exhibition: Invisible Worlds reveals the world beyond our senses: too big, too small, too fast, too slow, too far away in space and time. The exhibition explores how life is shaped by, and shapes, invisible systems. If the invisible lifeforms and systems we rely on for fresh air, clean water, fertile soil, nutritious food, rich biodiversity, a stable climate and a natural recycling system are threatened, so are we. Bringing the invisible into view and exploring the interconnectedness of everything can transform our understanding of the world – and how we interact with it.
  • Core building: The Core is home to our Invisible Worlds exhibition, which explores the interconnectedness of life and the environment at every scale. You'll also find temporary art exhibitions on the top floor, showcasing incredible work by nationally and internationally renowned artists. The beautiful modern architecture of the Core is based on the structure of a sunflower, which is made of hundreds of flowers that combine to create something greater than the sum of their parts.
  • Guided tours: The Eden Project's Biomes are brought to life by our team of Explainers and Tale Makers every day, and we offer a variety of guided tours and self-led trails to help you uncover the incredible stories of our plants and gardens. Most days, our knowledgeable team of Explainers and Tale Makers offer engaging introductory guided tours of our Rainforest and Mediterranean Biomes. Discover the incredible stories of spices that grow in our Rainforest Biome and are used to flavour delicious Pukka tea blends.
  • Arts & Culture: As a major cultural venue, we're home to a spectacular series of summer music concerts – the Eden Sessions – and we're also a hub for the visual arts in Cornwall. We present permanent installations and temporary exhibitions by new, emerging and established artists with reputations spanning the globe. We also host a wide range of performance events and regular storytelling sessions.
  • Nature's Playground: Our spectacular natural adventure play area is brimming with imaginative, sensory play. Its bespoke design and joyful handcrafted details makes for a play experience like no other. Covering nearly 500m², Nature's Playground is located behind the Core Building in our Outdoor Gardens and is created with nature and adventure at its heart. Water play is a key sensory element of the playground, so we recommend that you come prepared for your child(ren) to get wet.

Check this calendar for the spectacular events we run at various times throughout the year.
