TLG Bolton is an Independent School that helps students aged 11-16 who find themselves at a crisis point in their educational experience due to displaying behaviour that is often communicating a deeper underlying need.

  • Challenge and help modify bad behaviour, teaching young people to make appropriate choices.
  • Facilitate reintegration back into school or on to further education or employment.

All TLG schools meet the requirements of the Independent School Standards by giving students experience in the following areas of learning: linguistic; mathematical; scientific; technological; human and social; physical; and aesthetic and creative.

TLG operates a range of extended school programmes where students can continue to engage and learn beyond the school day and during the holidays. These might include breakfast clubs and workshops in sports, media, arts and music. TLG also runs social and cultural trips and visits including weekend residentials within the UK and international trips which in the past have included Uganda and Ghana.
