Features

Things to note

Sports
The movement pathway in Key Stage 3 PE allows students to gain a thorough understanding of the fundamental movements which underpin athletic performance. Students are then challenged to develop the correct technique and learn a variety of training methods to enhance their own performance at whatever level that may be.

Creative Art
Beyond the taught lessons in art, drama and music, there are opportunities for pupils to develop their musical skills, see theirs’ and others’ artwork displayed around the school and to perform in school dramatic productions.Introducing all pupils to the rich and diverse cultural life and history of both Britain and the wider world is a fundamental aspect of The Crypt School life.  Through exposure to music, to art and to drama all pupils gain an understanding of the importance of the cultural aspect of the human existence and an appreciation of the work and contribution to society that those who work in the cultural sphere make.

Clubs and Society
They encourage the young people to find out about themselves through challenge and endeavour and by doing so they develop their leadership and teamwork skills, become more resilient and determined, make friends and have fun. Whether it is on the stage, in the choir or orchestra, up a mountain, in the engineering room, in science club or on the games field, we aim to give every student the opportunity to pursue an interest outside the classroom.
