Reeds School

Description

Reed's is an independent day and boarding school for boys aged 11 to 18 with a co-educational Sixth Form.

Facilities

  • Purpose-built Music School.
  • Facilities for sport at Reed’s are excellent – from a new Indoor Cricket Centre that has five cricket nets outfitted with the PitchVision cricket analysis system, to two floodlit astroturf pitches, expansive rugby and cricket pitches, outdoor and indoor tennis courts, netball courts, coupled with a Sports Centre that comprises a sports hall, squash courts, a multi-fitness gym and a 25-metre swimming pool - all providing an impressive infrastructure for sport.

Features

Things to note

  • Drama is central to the cultural life at Reed’s, with pupils in all year groups given the chance to perform, be involved as a stage technician or as a member of the audience.
  • Regular large-scale concerts staged at prestigious venues, such as Cadogan Hall, St John’s Smith’s Square and the Royal Festival Hall.
  • Major Sports of Cricket, Hockey and Rugby are regularly successful in national and county competitions and an ever-increasing number of teams represent the School at all levels.
  • The Activities Curriculum is integral to the broad educational experience at Reed’s and pupils are encouraged to take every opportunity on offer through to the end of their Sixth Form years. The programme of activities changes each term and pupils choose which they would like to participate in on a termly basis. It is expected that pupils in the First to Fourth Forms (Years 7 to 10) undertake at least three activities per week and those in the Fifth and Sixth Forms (Years 11 to 13) undertake a minimum of two.
