Northwood College for Girls is an independent day school for girls aged 3 to 18

Facilities

25 metre 6 lane indoor swimming pool, large 4 badminton court sports hall with climbing and traversing wall, netball & tennis courts, small all-weather pitch, sports field with 200 metre athletics track, long / triple jump pit, dance studio and fitness suite.

Things to note

  • Over 70 extra-curricular clubs run each week across school and Sixth Formers partake in many in the fields of dance, drama, music, art and sport, ranging from Manga Art to Trampolining and Climbing to Creative.
  • School trips abound ranging from museum, theatre and gallery visits in the UK to language exchanges, skiing in the USA, water-sports in the South of France and the World Challenge adventure expeditions that see the girls travel to far flung destinations, such as, Borneo and Peru!

Scholarships

A limited number of Academic, Music, Sport and Art and Design scholarships are awarded annually to girls entering Year 7 of the Senior School. The Academic Scholarships are determined by performance in the Year 7 entrance tests, together with the interview and school reference.  All girls will automatically be considered; there is no need to apply for an academic scholarship. For all other Scholarships, you are required to fill in the Scholarship application form which you will receive once you have registered.
