Features

Things to note

Beyond the Classroom
Whilst academic progress and attainment are hugely important, we also recognise the significance of life outside the classroom. In addition to the excellent academic, creative arts and sporting activities, the location of our school enables us to provide an exciting, adventurous and diverse array of extra-curricular activities that all pupils are encouraged to participate in, as we consider them an important and exciting feature of school life and contribute enormously to the pupils’ social and emotional development. All Year 9 pupils complete the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award and opportunities for further research exist with the Higher Project Qualification on offer. The pupils have the opportunity to compete against other local schools in a wide range of sporting activities and also nationally within the Independent Schools.  Recent expeditions to Cambodia and Iceland have challenged our pupils, both physically and cognitively, whilst allowing them to recognise their place in our wider community.

After School Clubs & Extra-Curricular Activities
After school clubs give the opportunity for the extension of the curriculum into a period after normal school hours. Pupils can participate in activities for social reasons, or the elite performer may wish to train and to compete at a higher level.
