Extensive and diverse facilities, along with blend of specialist coaches and teacher-coaches enable us to provide a centralised programme of sport in training and competition, alongside education and other co-curricular activities. Games Programme offers the opportunity to engage and sample multiple sports through training and competitive fixtures during the early development years, in one place, and provides a special development experience for any child. The Millfield Institute of Sport and Wellbeing supports students in everything from their athletic to emotional development. The Institute provides provision across nutrition, physiotherapy, performance analysis and strength and conditioning.

Admission Details

ADMISSIONS (AGES 2-7): They will then request a reference from your current school; on receipt of this, they will invite you to bring your child for a taster day. 

ADMISSIONS (AGES 7-13): Entry to Millfield Prep School is possible into all year groups, with the largest intake at Year 7. They will request a reference from your current school and, on receipt of a satisfactory report, invite you to bring your child for interview and assessment. 

ADMISSIONS (AGES 13-18): Millfield is an academically selective school. Selection is based upon academic merit, which is assessed through entry tests, interview and by references from the candidate's current school.

Scholarships

They award a number of Academic, Art, Music and Sports Scholarships each year for entry into Years 6, 7 and 8 (internal into Years 6 and 7 only). Please note that this award is only for Years 6, 7 and 8 whilst at Millfield Prep School and will end on transfer to Year 9. Pupils who hold a Millfield Prep Award may apply for a Scholarship for entry into Year 9 and these are currently available for Academic, Co-curricular and Sport. Should you require further information please contact the Prep Admissions Team: 01458 832446. All Scholarships carry a maximum fee reduction of up to 10%. Academic, Art, Chess, Computer Programming, Dance, Drama, Music, Product Design and Sport Scholarships are awarded annually to candidates who are exceptionally talented in any one or two of these disciplines.
