Mill Hill School Foundation is a 13–18 mixed independentday and boarding school.

Facilities

Mill Hill’s facilities are both extensive and impressive. They include a modern sports complex incorporating indoor sports hall, indoor cricket nets, fully equipped fitness suite and conditioning centre. There is also a floodlit AstroTurf, 25-metre swimming pool, three fives courts, six outdoor tennis courts, four netball courts, indoor golf teaching suite incorporating golf simulator, outdoor golf centre, and numerous cricket, football and rugby pitches on 120-acre site.

  • With over 400 clubs and activities offered in the last academic year, they are confident that all pupils will be able to thrive and excel outside the classroom, whilst gaining the much converted soft skills that employers and universities hold in such high regard.
  • The Combined Cadet Force (CCF) is designed to encourage qualities of leadership and teamwork through a disciplined and structured programme using uniform, drill and team activities.
  • Annually the school runs in excess of 100 day visits and 30 residential trips during term time.

Admission Details

Mill Hill School offers co-educational day and weekly boarding and full boarding places. Entry is available at 13+ (Fourth Form/Year 9), 14+ (Remove/Year 10) and 16+ (Sixth Form). They have a Year 9 intake (referred to as the Fourth Form) of around 170 pupils (13+), with around 10 pupils joining in Year 10 (referred to as the Remove) (14+). Typically between 40 and 50 pupils join us at 16+ in the Lower Sixth.

Scholarships

The maximum amount awarded in any new scholarship or combination of scholarships (including Sixth Form scholarships) is 10% of a day or boarding fee, as appropriate. A wide range of awards are offered to pupils entering the Fourth and Sixth Forms (Years 9 and 12). These awards broadly fall into two categories – Scholarships and Bursaries. Scholarships, which attract a maximum of 10% fee remission, are available to pupils showing exceptional talent in a variety of areas both in the classroom and on the sports field.
