Facilities

Nursery
Le Hérisson offers a fully fledged bilingual education from 2 years old. In our Nursery Class (2 – 4 years) the children are gently introduced to school life and new friends. We support and encourage the children’s early steps into communication, confidence and self esteem, thereby promoting the holistic development and education of our youngest pupils. The children’s bilingual educational journey includes a variety of fun based learning activities and academic experiences including songs, music, games, role play, sport and forest school.

Primary
The Primary Years curriculum (4 – 6 years) offers a carefully designed broad, balanced and comprehensive education in a rich and stimulating learning environment. The fundamental concepts of reading, writing and maths are taught along with group activities including arts, crafts, music, sports and forest school. The children’s development and progress are assessed throughout according to both the EYFS and AEFE guidelines.

Things to note

Remote Learning
The remote curriculum and what is taught to children at home. A child’s first day or two of being educated remotely might look a little different from our standard approach while we take all necessary actions to prepare for a longer period of remote teaching.Distance learning will be provided by Le Hérisson staff for all MS/GS pupils. However, the MS/GS class is physically open for children of essential workers and vulnerable children. Where possible, please notify the School office in advance whether your child will be attending remotely or physically.

After School Care
The After School Care programme runs Mondays to Fridays from 3.15pm until 6.00pm. The dedicated Le Hérisson team ensure the children enjoy the various free flow activities and games on offer after the regular school day ends. On Mondays the children have the option of joining our multi-sports after school club.
