Senior School
At Hall School Wimbledon we believe that anything is possible and that every pupil must engage fully in his or her own learning. The Senior School years are where children shape their own identities as young adults. Hall School Wimbledon’s nurturing pastoral care and broad curriculum supports your child on this journey.In 2020/21 97% of pupils achieved grades 9-4 with 54% of pupils achieving the top grades of 9-7. 100% of our Year 11 pupils achieved 5 or more GCSEs including English and Maths. The results significantly exceed those of other comparable non-selective schools. However, the academic ethos is shaped by a view that cultivating characteristics of resilience, adaptability, confidence, good humour, collaboration and empathy are just as important to our pupils’ long-term success. These are the qualities which make our Senior School leavers effective independent learners, and future leaders of society in a challenging world.
Co-Curricular
The Music Department at Hall school Wimbledon offers a wide range of co-curricular activities to complement the academic curriculum with experiences and opportunities beyond the formal classroom. These are an integral and essential part of an all-round holistic education, where we recognise that individuals flourish in a supportive environment in which all their abilities and talents are acknowledged and encouraged. Pupils have the opportunity to shape the co-curriculum and students take leading roles in running co-curricular activities. Outstanding contribution is recognised through the school house system.

Academic Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a candidate who has demonstrated outstanding academic performance and progress during Prep School/ Primary School, and who shows potential to do exceedingly well academically at Hall School Wimbledon. A candidate will need to show knowledge and rigour in at least three subjects. This will need to be supported by school reports and a report from the candidate’s Head. There will be an interview with the Headmaster of Hall School Wimbledon.
Expressive Arts Scholarship
This covers Art, Drama and Music, but a candidate can specialise in just one area; he/she does not have to be exceptional in all three. For Art, the candidate will have to bring along his/her art portfolio and be prepared to discuss the portfolio, and do a drawing test. This application will need to be supported by school reports and a report from the candidate’s Head. There will be an interview with the Head of Hall School Wimbledon. The candidate will be expected to take Art to GCSE level.
Sports Scholarship
Any potential candidate will be expected to have played sport already at a high level at their current school and outside of school. Candidates will be assessed in skills and fitness related to their chosen sports. The application will need to be supported by references from the school, club or qualified coach, and a list of teams the candidate has played for needs to accompany the application. The candidate will be assessed by the Sports Department and will be interviewed by the Headmaster of Hall School Wimbledon.
