They want all children to: Learn in an atmosphere of belonging and value, where everyone is both physically and emotionally healthy and resilient. Develop a lifelong love for learning where everyone is encouraged to grow and reach their potential whatever their ability.

CURRICULUM
They believe that children learn best when they are inspired, engaged and challenged in their work. At Brocks Hill Primary School they have devised an ambitious and sequential curriculum in which deep curriculum knowledge, key skills and attitudes are taught. The children access a curriculum that develops them as individuals, challenges their mind-set, excites their imagination and is relevant to their lives. They aim to create meaningful learning experiences which prepare all children for life long learning. They have built and shaped our curriculum around the concept of a learning tree. This recognises that different type of knowledge and skills are important in the development of a ‘whole’ child.

At Brocks Hill Primary we are committed to meeting the needs of every pupil at the school. They have an inclusive ethos and believe in a stimulating, creative curriculum for all based around developing the 6Rs (resilience, responsibility, resourcefulness, reflection, respect and reciprocity). They have high expectations and the aims for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities are the same as for all the pupils; to provide a broad and balanced curriculum and the highest quality of education. They work to promote children’s self-esteem and emotional well-being and help them to form worthwhile relationships based on respect for themselves and others. Here at Brocks Hill we celebrate the successes and achievements of every child and put the children’s learning at the heart of everything they do.
