Blooming Tree Pre Prep School is Independent Primary school in Ealing for kids aged 3 to 8 (Gender - Mixed )
The Pre-preparatory School is designed for children with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health), ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and Learning Difficulties, and it is based on a group of specialist professionals leading the way in new developments here in the UK. The Blooming Tree Pre-preparatory School will be an ambitious forward-thinking specialist school. They provide a meaningful and individualised school early years curriculum to our pupils to ensure they develop skills and independence. Through the provision of high-quality evidence-based teaching combining ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and RFT (Relational Frame Theory) principles, our students will advance academically as well as overcoming barriers they might face as a result of their diagnosis.
Curriculum
They recognise that our pupils will have unique needs and approaches to learning, therefore they use a blend of assessments and curriculums to best serve the individual needs of each pupil. Examples of curriculums we might use include the VB-Mapp (Ver-bal Behaviour Milestones Assessment and Placement Program), ABLLS-R (The Assessment of Basic Language and learning Skills), AFLS (Assessment of Functional Living Skills), Pre-Key Stage 1, Pre-Key Stage 2 and the National Curriculum. They seek to engage our pupils in school and learning through the delivery of a flexible and challenging curriculum where all lessons have a sense of discovery. We provide opportunities to develop their confidence and self-esteem, to think creatively and take risks, work independently and collaboratively, and to respect others.
Programmes
Once a child’s place at Blooming Tree Pre-preparatory School is confirmed and the child starts attending our school, the next steps involve conducting a formal evaluation of the pupil’s current level of skills and barriers to learning using either one or a combination of the assessments available (VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS, Pre-Key Stage 1, Pre-Key Stage 2) to determine the child’s baseline and develop a programme that will meet their needs. The individualised programme always aims to incorporate the child’s interests as motivation is always the key to a successful intervention.
