They have served our children, village and the wider community since 1856 and believe it is our Catholic identity and ethos which sets us apart – ‘With God’s guidance we grow and learn’.Barkston Ash welcomes children and families from all backgrounds. They are passionate about supporting the wider community and we are fully committed to providing the best possible education for all of the children, where their unique talents are explored and nurtured.At Barkston Ash, our children are wonderful. They enjoy learning through a curriculum which is carefully designed to ensure that spiritual, academic and curricular development and achievement are highly valued. Through our engaging curriculum, they ensure that children can develop self-belief, confidence and a passion for learning that will help to develop high aspirations and offer experiences that will provide lifelong memories for our children to cherish.

SEND Provision at Barkston Ash Catholic Primary School
Providing for children with SEN is the responsibility of every adult at Barkston Ash Catholic Primary School. However, the adult with named responsibility for SEN is our SENCo is Mrs Poulter. She is a member of the School Leadership Team (SLT) and represents the view of the parents and children who fit within the SEND category. This ensures that the voice of these, often vulnerable pupils, is front and centre of our decision making.
