Alternative Centre of Education

Description

Alternative Centre of Education specifically cater for secondary age students with a range of varying and additional needs which impact on their everyday learning. They offer an individualised curriculum suited to the needs of our pupils. ACE aims to provide an education for young people age 11 – 16 who are at risk of permanent exclusion, are school refuses or those who just find it difficult to manage within a mainstream setting due to variety of social and emotional issues.

Facilities

ACE offers personalised learning programmes with classes having up to eight young people. They aim to remove the barriers to learning experienced by young people so that they can feel safe, confident and happy to attend school daily. 

They offer a mainstream school curriculum in a smaller setting. Schools will benefit from improved attitudes to learning which in turn will raise levels of achievement.
