Pottery painting at Wot Pots is designed for everyone, from kids to adults and all abilities. It's an ideal activity for family celebrations, friend gatherings, and team-building events. No prior experience is required – just a willingness to have fun and let your creativity flow.
Pottery Taster: This day course is designed for complete beginners but anyone with some experience are welcome to join. Through the day you will learn the main pottery techniques which include pinch pots, slab work, coil pot construction and saving the best to last, a go on the pottery wheel! In total you will make 3 pieces of pottery to take home. Although we will be working on structured projects, you are encouraged to explore your creativity and make your piece your own!
Throwing Courses: Discover the joy of spinning clay in our serene and welcoming studio. These sessions maintain a maximum of 4 students per class, ensuring each participant has regular one to one support. Each session is customised to each individuals pace and skill level, allowing you to focus on your own creative journey without any pressure or competition. In this one day throwing workshop tailored for beginners, we will lead you through the step-by-step process of throwing.

Tucked away in the heart of Westbury Wildlife Park, our exclusive space provides the perfect setting for an intimate, laid-back, and private get-together. Create lasting memories in our charming and peaceful location. Minimum spend of £16pp. Minimum of 8 people for a private party. Includes: Private use of the studio and studio garden, Cost of the pottery, glazes, firing and a member of staff to support you and your guests throughout the party. We provide squash/teas/coffees and we provide the plates, cups and cutlery if you are bringing party food.

Whether it's a birthday bash, a special occasion, or simply a get-together with friends, Wot Pots clay sessions offer a creative way to make memories. We offer a diverse selection of imaginative projects suitable for both adults and children. From sculpting mugs and pots to creating decorative bunting and decorative bowls, there's something for everyone. Additionally, if you have a unique idea in mind, share it with us, and we'll do our best to tailor a lesson just for you. 2 hours making time. Working with clay is a more intricate process that demands additional time compared to pottery painting. Consequently, there isn't any leftover time within the party duration for additional entertainment. But you may hire the studio for longer if you wish. Capacity up to 8. Fixed price of £280.

The studio is now based in the heart of the wildlife park. To enter the park you will need to walk through the cabin at the entrance. Walk down the path and carry on down to the left when the path forks. You will come to two buildings. Turn to the building on the left, enter along the side of the building, over the pond and into a walled garden. Here we are!
