Pool: The pool is open 7 days a week and is used by our members as well as SwimFit groups, families and local schools. The Pelican Centre offers a full swimming lesson programme for all ages, delivered by our professional swimming coaches and teachers, and at the weekend the pool is a great place to have a party with a difference! The Pelican Centre offers swimming lessons for people of all ages and abilities.
Gym: The Pelican Centre’s fully-equipped and air-conditioned gym is an open friendly and welcoming space to improve your fitness, regardless of your ability or goals. Open 7 days a week, and with personal training, programme and lifestyle sessions available. Whether you’re new to the gym or looking to hone a specific aspect of your gym routine, achieve your fitness goals with direction, encouragement and guidance from a qualified personal trainer.
Classes: We offer classes during the week managed by our own Pelican Centre team, such as Zumba, Legs Bums & Tums and Pilates, as well as externally-managed classes and clubs such as Dance4Fun. Whether you’re working up a sweat with HIIT, body pump or circuits, dancing your way to fitness in Zumba or taking time to stretch with yoga and pilates, the Pelican Centre has a class to suit what you’re looking for.

Pelican Pool Parties in our 25m pool are ideal for a birthday or other event that’s a bit different! The Pelican pool can be hired for 45 minute Pelican Pool Parties, followed by 45 minutes in the hall to continue your party with refreshments or more entertainment.

Party 1 (£125): Pool with toys, floats & diving board.
Party 2 (£200): Pool with ‘Shiver Me Timbers’ dual lane inflatable obstacle course.
Party 3 (£80): Junior water polo tournament party.
