Thames Chase Trust is an environmental charity managing and promoting the Thames Chase Community Forest (TC) – an organisation that promotes woodland creation and biodiversity and works to improve landscape, including derelict land. Key to the project is working with local communities to improve that landscape and to ensure that access to the countryside for local people and visitors, is improved.

Discover the Natural Trails at Broadfields
There are many paths weaving through the woodlands and meadow pastures full of wild flowers and busy insects buzzing from flower to flower and amongst the leaves. Whether walking, cycling, scooting or riding there is much to explore and enjoy.Discover the dipping platform and take a walk out to the middle of the pond to watch the canopy-broken sunlight dance on the rippling water, accompanied by birdsong and buzzing insects. Look down into the depths to see such insects as water boatman and if you are lucky some tadpoles or newts.

Tree Nursery
The Community Tree Nursery is located near the children’s playground, sheltered from the wind by the trees and buildings that surround it. Within its modest area, multiple raised beds can be found, all connected by a wide access path. All people should be able to enjoy the benefits that nature can offer and Thames Chase Trust is committed to continually improving our facilities to this end. This is a partnership project between Thames Chase Trust and Land of the Fanns Landscape Partnership Scheme and has been funded by multiple partners including Thames Chase Trust, Mayor of London's Greener City Fund and National Lottery Heritage Fund (through Land of the Fanns Partnership Scheme).

The shop at the entrance to the Forest Centre sells a wide variety of items on offer from local businesses, suppliers, craftsmen and craftswomen. From jewellery and hats to earthware, pottery and paintings, the range of produce is regularly rotated to showcase the best crafts from local, talented people across the Community Forest.Buying from the shop at the Forest Centre ensures we can contiune to promote the hundreds of specialist artists and craftspeople throughout the region with our commitment to locally-created and produced works where possible. Card payments are available for purchases over £5.
