You do not need to book an appointment however as capacity is limited we strongly advise that you book in advance to guarantee a space and that any items requested from our stores will be ready before you arrive.   • Parking: There are a number of pay and display car parks in Stratford-upon-Avon town centre, as well as a Park & Ride, signposted from the A46, which offers an easy, relaxing and great value journey into Stratford-upon-Avon town centre 7 days a week this summer.There is a pay and display car park a short walk from Anne Hathaway's Cottage, in Cottage Lane, Shottery, CV37 9HH.
  • Food & Drinks: We ask that no food or drink is consumed on site at Shakespeare’s Birthplace during your visit, including any that you’ve brought from home. Picnics are welcome in the grounds at Anne Hathaway's Cottage and Shakespeare's New Place. Please ensure you take all your rubbish home with you.
  • Dogs: Dogs are welcome in the gardens and grounds at Anne Hathaway's Cottage, Shakespeare's New Place and Shakespeare's Birthplace.
