Scarborough Castle crowns a spectacular headland between the two bays of the famous seaside resort. Visit, and you can explore lofty viewing platforms within the Inner Bailey and the Great Tower offering great views over the town, the harbour, and the bay.   • Parking: As there is no parking on site, we recommend use of the Park and Ride or the pay and display Marine Drive car park. Parking is only available for disabled visitors, which must be pre-booked. Please contact Scarborough Castle on 01723 372451 to book a space.
  • Food And Drink: The site has a coffee shed and ice cream van. We serve hot and cold snacks, tea and coffee plus cakes and ice creams.
  • Toilets: Male and female toilets on site with baby changing facilities.
  • Dogs: Dogs allowed on lead. Assistance dogs welcome.

Drone Display at Scarborough Castle: Date: 19 - 23 Nov 2025. Time: 5pm - 7.30pm. Location: Scarborough Castle. Join Thomasin Farrer and local schoolchildren on a magical journey around Scarborough, as the town approaches its 400th anniversary as the UK’s very first seaside resort. This dazzling performance also offers a unique opportunity to see the Scarborough Castle illuminations up close.
