Features

Garden Guide: At Riverhill we have over 12 acres of historic gardens to explore, punctuated with contemporary sculpture, as well as woodland paths, breathtaking views and plenty of benches for quiet contemplative moments.
Visiting with Children:

  • Spot the Yeti: Pop up to our den building woods between 2:00 and 4:00 on a weekend or School Holiday and see if you can track down our Yeti.
  • Hedge Maze: Our fiendishly tricky hedge maze was designed by Adrian Fisher, the world’s leading maze designer. It is based on Tibetan carvings and it is possible to solve it in either a clockwise or anti clockwise direction.
  • Little Everest View Point: We are lucky enough to have one of the highest vantage points in the county and we can promise that it is well worth the climb. Look out for the panoramic viewpoint sign showing the many landmarks across the horizon.
  • Den Building Woods: Our chestnut woods are just perfect for a spot of den building. Please feel free to add to any existing camps or start your own using any fallen timber you can find.

Adventure Playground: Our young explorers love to let off steam in the adventure playground. There is a twisty slide, cargo net, lots of things to climb and swing from and a wonderful tree house get away as well as picnic benches for a quick snack in between adventures!

Facilities

  • Parking: We have a large, free carpark. Plus visitors with additional access requirements can park in our disabled parking in front of the main house.
