The Powell-Cotton Museum offers an exciting, fun and interactive day out for all. Discover awesome animals in the natural history galleries and journey across the world discovering cultures with our amazing collection of objects and archaeology. A tour of Grade II listed Quex House, former home of the Powell-Cotton's is also included in your admission ticket. Quex Gardens, spanning 7 acres and featuring a walled garden and woodland walk is open throughout the day. The perfect place for a picnic! What to see

The majority of the Museum's collections originate from the African and Asian continents. This includes over 20,000 world-culture objects, 6500 mammal specimens, and fine and decorative arts. They also hold approximately 8,000 archaeological finds from the Thanet coastline and an archive of supportive material including over 30,000 photographs and 40,000 documents. Group Visits: From exclusive tours to relaxed visits, they can ensure your group experience is a great day out for everyone. Enjoy a relaxed visit to the museum on a weekday with your group. As the museum is closed to general visitors during the week, group visitors will have the chance to visit whilst the museum and gardens team and volunteers, continue their work. You may catch a glimpse of conservation in action or groups of volunteers working on a particular project.

They have a car park adjacent to the main museum building entrance. The parking is less than 50 metres from the main entrance. Parking is free and there are three accessible parking spaces.
