The Norfolk Tank Museum is located at Forncett St Peter, NR16 1HZ two miles from Long Stratton on the A140 Norwich to Ipswich road. From Long Stratton turn onto Swan Lane  and follow the road out of the village for 2 miles until you come to a railway bridge over the road. We are immediately West of the railway bridge.

The Norfolk Tank Museum houses a collection of military vehicles, weapons and militaria mainly from the 20th Century and the Cold War Period.   The collection of tanks and armoured cars is maintained in a working condition or is awaiting restoration by our team. including Deborah II, the replica Mk IV Tank as seen on Channel 4’s documentary ‘Guy Martin’s WWI Tank’.  Other exhibits include artillery, uniforms and an extensive collection of British small arms.

Tank Experience
The Norfolk Tank Museum offers tank experiences between May and October.  The Tank Experiences last for approximately two hours and include a short health and saSaladin 01 CC 69fety briefing, an exclusive VIP-tour of the museum whilst we are closed to the public, usually Monday, Friday or Saturday.  The opportunity to get up close and personal with our collection of main battle tanks: Deborah II replica WWI Mark IV, our trio of Centurion Tanks and a Chieftain 120mm MBT. Make sure you bring your shoes with the best grip for when you climb aboard and sit in the turrets and drivers seats of our vehicles and experience what the confined atmosphere is really like.  Be prepared for the unique opportunity to handle some of the oldest firearms in our Armoury, one-on-one with one of our experts.

Radio Collection
The Radio Group aim’s to provide an exhibition of military radio equipment from the last century and also an operational amateur radio station. They have working examples of World War 2 interception receivers and examples of famous radios such as the RAF R1155 / T1154 and the Wireless set 18 and 19, together with examples of NATO, Warsaw Pact, Indian and South East Asian equipment.
