Llanerchaeron discover the elegant, Georgian villa at Llanerchaeron. Originally designed by the famous architect John Nash in the 1790s, the house has remained largely unaltered for over 200 years. Explore the servant’s courtyard (including a dairy, laundry, brewery and salting house), as well as our refreshed rooms and displays including the Pamela Ward collection. This traditional Welsh, country estate offers peaceful walks around the redbrick walled garden, ornamental lake and wild parkland.

Meet the animals in the traditional farmyard, including Welsh cobs, Welsh pigs, poultry and geese. Find out more about our traditional flock of a rare breed local sheep, called Llanwenog. Dogs are welcome on site to explore the walled garden, pleasure grounds, lake and farmyard. Please keep dogs on leads at all times, pick up any mess and follow our 'Canine Code'.

Step inside and you'll discover how its exterior simplicity hides a multitude of complex shapes and details as well as a rare example of a complete service courtyard hidden at the back of the house.
Exploring the estate at Llanerchaeron: Any time of year is great for visiting the estate at Llanerchaeron. In spring, flowers carpet the woods and in summer the estate is full of song and colour. Autumn brings beautiful colours to the woods, while winter sees early birds nesting in unusual places.

Toilet: Toilets are available at the back of Visitor Centre, located next to Conti’s Café.
Dogs allowed: Dogs on leads welcome in walled gardens, lake, pleasure grounds, farmyard, carpark, visitor centre and cafe. Not allowed in Villa (House).

Aberystwyth to Mynachdy’r Graig walk: This walk will take you from the historic seaside splendour of Aberystwyth, along the Cardigan Bay coast to the former monastic grange of Mynachdy’r Graig. You'll take in the views over Cardigan Island, Ynns Enlli (Bardsey Island), the Lleyn peninsula and Snowdonia.
Cwm Tydu to Cwm Soden butterfly walk: This circular route takes you along cliffs from the little bay of Cwm Tydu to Cwm Soden, one of the few sites for the pearl-bordered fritillary butterfly in Wales. The walk offers opportunities to spot a variety of other wildlife such as the forester moth, Welsh chafer on the maritime grassland slopes, and the giant lacewing along the shady stream.

By road: Llanerchaeron is situated 2.8 miles east from the centre of Aberaeron, along the A482.
On foot: Walk or cycle the 2½ mile path from Aberaeron to Llanerchaeron along old railway line. The route is called the Allt y Graig Woodland Trail.
By bus: The T1 bus from Aberystwyth leaves every hour and takes you to Aberaeron. The T5 and X50 from Cardigan to Aberaeron every 1.5 hours. Llanerchaeron is 2½ mile from Aberaeron.
Cycling: Walk or cycle the 2½ mile path from Aberaeron to Llanerchaeron along old railway line. The route is called the Allt y Graig Woodland Trail.
