Kilkee Waterworld, located on the stunning Wild Atlantic Way, has historically opened only during the summer holiday season, but under a new management team, are working towards year-round operation. Beachside family attraction features a 61-metre slide, lazy river, bubble pool, baby pool, geysers, and a cosy café, along with free outdoor table tennis and breathtaking ocean views. The local community, schools, clubs, and organisations in West Clare play a vital role in this vision, and are delighted to introduce New Autumn Program. With comprehensive swimming instruction for all ages and levels, plus engaging activities such as Try a Snorkel and Try a Dive, offer the perfect setting for family fun and underwater adventures. Whether you are a local or a visitor, Kilkee Waterworld is the ideal place to create lasting memories.

Admission is €10 per person, with babies under 1 admitted free, and our Children’s Swim Camp runs Monday to Friday at €85 per child per week.

Attractions & Pools: Kilkee Waterworld offers something for everyone, from toddlers to adults. The Kids Pool is perfect for babies and toddlers, kept at a constant 32°C with a shallow depth of 0.4m. Families can relax in the Bubble Pool, which overlooks scenic Kilkee Beach, or drift along the Mini Lazy River. After a swim, visitors can enjoy a friendly match at the outdoor table tennis area with stunning coastal views.
Public Swim: Enjoy a 20m pool maintained at 31°C, suitable for all ages. Popular features include a 61m slide and the family friendly Lazy River. The pool duration is 1 hour 20 minutes, and babies under one year swim free. Families can also enjoy a kids’ shallow pool, bubble pool, and beach views. After your swim, relax with a Nespresso coffee at the Kilkee Community Café or play chess and table tennis outside.
Aqua Aerobics & R&R: A low-impact, water-based workout designed for all fitness levels. Each one-hour session includes 30 minutes of energising aqua aerobics followed by 30 minutes of relaxation, stretching, and gentle movement in the water. Thursday mornings are especially suited for those over 55, but all adults are welcome.
Swimming Lessons
- Children’s Swim Camp (June 30 – August, Mon–Fri): Three progressive levels—Starfish, Dory, and Shark—help children build water confidence, develop strokes, and learn safety. Each 30-minute class includes fun activities and a 10-minute playtime.
- Children’s Group Lessons (Sat or Sun): Eight-week programme covering all levels, from beginners to advanced swimmers, with the same play-based structure.
- One-to-One Lessons: Four personalised 30-minute sessions designed to build confidence, overcome water fears, and refine technique at the learner’s own pace.
- Adventure Sessions
Try Scuba: Experience what it’s like to breathe underwater with professional guidance. Learn the basics of scuba equipment and underwater movement in a safe, heated pool environment.
Try Snorkel (Fridays, July & August): A one-hour introduction to snorkelling for ages 8+, limited to 10 participants. €35 per person.
Junior Lifeguard Camp (July 21–25, ages 10–14): Learn rescue techniques, snorkelling, scuba basics, and water challenges. Sessions run Monday to Friday, 5:00–6:00 pm.
Kayaking Taster Session: A one-hour beginner-friendly introduction held in the heated pool. Perfect for families, groups, or individuals who want to try something new in a safe environment.
