Facilities

  • Parking: Access to the car park is restricted - 2.3m high and 2m wide (7' 5” x 6' 5”). Free. Designated accessible parking available. No overnight parking allowed.
  • Toilet: Unisex toilets in visitor welcome area.
  • Dogs allowed: Dogs on leads welcome in all areas, please be aware that it can get very loud inside the forge when the machinery is working.

History of Finch Foundry: From its 19th century beginnings through to its closure in the 1960s, the history of Finch Foundry in Devon is one that spans multiple generations of the same enterprising family. The foundry rose from humble beginnings to become a key player in the British tool industry under the leadership of Rebecca Finch, before branching out in unexpected directions under her son, Albany George.
