Crag Cave is a unique and fascinating subterranean world, thought to be over one million years old. Ireland’s most exciting show cave is an all-weather visitor attraction located in Castleisland, the gateway to Kerry. Crag Cave began its life nearly 350 million years ago when Ireland lay close to the equator under a tropical sea. The main attraction is the ancient cave system itself, formed by underground rivers over millennia. Families with children will love the Crazy Cave Activity Centre, which features slides, climbing frames, rope bridges, and a maze.

Cave tour prices are €17 for adults, €7 for children aged 4–16, and free for kids under 3. The Crazy Cave soft play area costs €9 for children over 2.

Crazy Cave: Crag Cave Visitor Centre is an all-weather indoor play area designed for kids up to 12 years old. Since 2005, it’s been a haven of fun with activities like the Mega Astra Slide, climbing frames, ball guns, a maze, rope bridges, and sports courts. Perfect for hours of fun, Crazy Cave ensures beaming smiles and laughter. Parents can relax while kids enjoy the excitement and adventure in a safe, enjoyable environment.
Explore the Area: Located within a 30 minute drive of Listowel, Killarney and Tralee, Castleisland is the perfect base to explore The Kingdom. We are also a short drive from the beautiful Ballybunion. Main Street is the hub of the town’s tradition, culture and everyday business. It’s famously the second widest street in Ireland, second only after Dublin’s O’Connell Street. Venturing outside Castleisland, Tralee, Killarney and Dingle offer entertainment and activities for all ages.
Winter Wonderland: Learn about Santa’s magic dust mishap and visit our enchanting Winter Wonderland to see Santa, the Elves and Rudolph.
Halloween at Crag Cave: offers a family-friendly, self-guided tour through the cave, featuring a spooky tale of Count Valkamir. Decorated with witches, ghosts, and spooky decorations, the experience is designed for children aged 7 and up (discretion advised). Fancy dress is encouraged, and pre-booking is essential. The play area can be added during booking.
School Tours offer a fun, educational experience exploring Crag Cave's 1 million-year-old formations, followed by a play session in Crazy Cave.
