The Railway: Sit back and enjoy a ride on one of Britain's oldest seaside miniature railways. The Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway has been delighting generations of visitors since 1948 - originally started as a post-war seaside ride, it has developed into one of Lincolnshire's must-visit destinations. Travel from Lakeside Station, the railway's main terminus, to Kingsway Station, situated next to Cleethorpes Promenade, where you might transfer to the Lollipop Road Train into town - a nostalgic way to travel, also doubling as a transport link.
The Signal Box Inn: Have you ever been to a record breaker? You MUST visit the ‘Smallest Pub on the Planet’. Measuring just 8ft x 8ft, this vintage railway building has been transformed into one of the region's most popular pubs. Unwind with a drink in the sun and watch the world go by at this quirky location! Enjoy a tipple inside the pub, in the Luggage Shed Lounge (open on most days) or in our large beer garden, the perfect location to soak up the sun and watch the world go by.
9 Hole Crazy Golf: Why not 'swing' by to Lakeside Station to tee off on our fun-filled 9 hole Crazy Golf Course! Putt your way round way through the lighthouse and robot, round the Helter Skelter and through other challenging obstacles to see who is crowned the winner! At £3.00 per person, pick up your club, ball and scorecard from the Sidings Snack Shack.
Drive Your Own Tram: Located next to our golf course is our 'Drive Your Own Tram', perfect for our visitors under the age of 10 years old! At just £1.00 for a trip up and down, they can become a driver along the tram's very own section of track. The tram provides a perfect photo opportunity, so be ready to wave to the camera and beep the horn.
Driver Experience: Why not treat yourself or someone special to an unforgettable time driving one of our historic locomotives for just £195! Our Driver Experience courses are a great way to spend time with your loved ones, whether you are celebrating a special occasion, big birthday, or even if it is just an excuse for a get–together.

Facilities

Parking: There is ample pay & display parking (operated by North East Lincolnshire Council) next to both of our stations. Blue badge holders can park for free.
Food & Drinks: We have three outlets across the railway providing options for food and drink. At Lakeside Station, Sidings Snack Shack offers hot and cold food, drinks, slushies and ice cream. The Signal Box Inn offers alcoholic beverages, soft drinks and snacks. At Kingsway Station, our gift shop offers hot and cold drinks, snacks and ice creams.
Toilets: Toilet & baby changing facilities are available on Platform 2 of Lakeside Station.

By Car: From the North: On the A1 at Knottingley go east on the M62, south on the M18 and east on the M180/A180. From the South: On the A1/A1M take the M18 north east to the M180 then east as above on the M180/A180. From Lincoln: Take the A46 towards Grimsby, watch out for signs to Cleethorpes as you approach Grimsby. Once in Cleethorpes: Follow the brown and white signs for Meridian Lakeside and then Lakeside. There is a large pay and display car park right next to Lakeside Station. Kingsway Station is further west along Kings Road next to the Leisure Centre, with a pay and display car park behind the station.
By Foot: Lakeside Station is a 15 minute walk from Havens' Cleethorpes Beach & 10 minutes from Cleethorpes Pearl Holiday Park. And we are just over the road from Cleethorpes Premier Inn. The Lollipop Road Train operates daily from Easter to September from Cleethorpes Pier (2 mins walk from National Rail Station) to a stop just behind Kingsway Station. Alternatively we around a 20 minute walk from Cleethorpes Pier.
By Bus: Stagecoach buses 8, 9 and 10 travel past the railway on Kings Road with bus stops situated adjacent to Lakeside Station and Kingsway Station.
By Train: Cleethorpes Station is operated by TransPennine Express, who operate a direct service to Manchester Airport via Manchester Piccadilly. It can also be reached via the East Coast Main Line at Doncaster. Northern Rail also operate from Cleethorpes along the Barton-on-Humber Branch.
