  • Grade I listed historic garden: 80 acres including formal gardens, shrub-filled glades, meadows and woods, dells and water gardens. Home to historic plant collections.
  • Formal garden: A Victorian East Garden, featuring Round Garden, Parterre and famous Laburnum Arch. Edwardian Italianate Terraces of rose beds, pools and pergola garden rooms.
  • Meadows: The Old Park, dating back to the Georgian era, and Furnace Meadow which lies on a hillside overlooking the riverside garden.
  • Arboretum: The Dell, Yew Dell and Far End: Woodland walks among native and exotic trees, including magnolias and rhododendrons, and old and rare Champion Trees.
  • Garden architecture: The Pin Mill, 18th century Grade II listed building on the Canal Terrace; the Georgian Old Mill in The Dell and The Poem, a Victorian mausoleum in The Glades.

  • Shop and Garden Centre: Shop and Garden centre, next to the entrance to the world class garden, selling gifts, souvenirs and plants.

Facilities

  • Parking: 150 yards.
  • Food & Drinks: Café - Magnolia Cafe located opposite to garden exit. Serving hot and cold drinks, light bites and cakes. Indoor and outdoor seating. Closed for essential work until February 2026.
  • Toilet: Located in the car park, in the garden centre and in The Dell. Garden centre toilets currently closed.
  • Dogs allowed: From 1 April to 30 September, dogs on short leads (not extendable) are welcome in the garden every Thursday to Sunday inclusive. From 1 October to 31 March, dogs are welcome every day.

  • Bodnant's Winter Garden trail: Take a gentle circular walk among nature on Bodnant’s Winter Garden trail. This short walk takes you through 250 years of horticultural history at Bodnant Garden and is suitable for all the family to enjoy.
  • Furnace Wood and Meadow trail, Bodnant Garden: Nestled in Bodnant Garden's 80 acres, this hillside trail through Furnace Wood and Meadow will take you to new heights and reward you with panoramic views.
