  • The Museum: The story of Scotland’s great highland Regiment. History brought to life through themed stories about Scottish history, culture, and pageantry. Education visits welcome.
  • Our Collection: The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders (Princess Louise’s) was created under the Childers Reforms in 1881 by the amalgamation of the 91st Argyllshire Highlanders (raised 1794) and 93rd Sutherland Highlanders (raised 1799) but traces its history back to the raising of the Stirlingshire Militia in 1639. Recognised as a nationally significant collection.

Facilities

Parking: Once in Stirling, the Castle is clearly signposted. For parking on the Castle Esplanade. There are a limited number of disabled spaces which are offered on a first come, first served basis. Cost of the car parking (which is payable on arrival when a space is available) for a maximum of four hours is £6 per car. For HES Members the charge is £4.

  • By Car: Once in Stirling, the Castle is clearly signposted. For parking on the Castle Esplanade. There are a limited number of disabled spaces which are offered on a first come, first served basis. 
  • Parking: There is limited on-street paid parking in Stirling town centre as well as multi storey car parks at Wellgreen Place and Goosecroft Road (under the Thistles shopping centre).
