The school’s 210 acres of parkland grounds provide the perfect platform for sporting excellence with a nine-hole golf course, lacrosse, hockey, cricket, football and rugby pitches and tennis and netball courts.
The Leisure Centre boast an indoor 25m pool and full fitness suite.

Things to note
Music is at the heart of Westonbirt School and over two-thirds of students play a musical instrument. There are several choirs and ensemble bands, including the outstanding Chamber Choir who have performed at Gloucester Cathedral and at Westonbirt Arboretum’s enchanted Christmas.
From Years 7 – 9 students enjoy timetabled dance lessons, as well as drama, and can opt to take BTEC Performing Arts in Dance from Year 9 and to study Drama at GCSE and a Level, as well as Performing Arts and Dance.
Spacious art studies and specialist teachers inspire students who regularly go on to study at prestigious art institutions. Design Technology is popular and forms an integral part of the curriculum along with Product Design, Textiles and Food and Nutrition.
Westonbirt is proud to offer a range of scholarships recognising academic excellence as well as exceptional talent in sport, art, drama, choral and music. Scholarships and Exhibitions are open to those entering Years 7, 9 and 12. Applications are welcome from both external and internal candidates but external candidates must register with the school prior to submitting their scholarship form.
