At Snowflake School our principal Aim is: “To improve the lives of the children and families by working with our community of staff, pupils and families and following our underpinning SUPER values of;Snowflake School recognises that families know the pupils best and so we understand the importance of positive and regular home /school communication. Families are involved throughout the education process, whether in daily feedback, meetings, consultations or reviews.Snowflake was co-founded more than eleven years ago by our Chair of Trustees Mrs. Faryaneh Akhavan. Her team of dedicated Trustees give us tremendous support and ensure that Snowflake is an “Outstanding School,” (Ofsted Inspection, 2013, 2016, and 2019)
Facilities
Teaching at Snowflake school is guided by the science of applied behaviour analysis (ABA) including Skinners Analysis of Verbal Behaviour. Each pupil receives an individually devised programme based on a pupil centred, multi professional approach to learning, aimed at increasing communication and independence and delivered 1;1 by a trained ABA tutor. Once a pupil starts attending Snowflake School their development is constantly monitored through daily data keeping, programmes, meetings and specialised assessment tools. This information will continually inform their teaching plan and also provide clear scientific evidence of learning and progress.All pupils are part of a class group of maximum 6 pupils and 6 ABA tutors with a teacher/ABA supervisor as a lead. They receive 1:1 individualised support as well as regular opportunities for group teaching, social play and generalisation throughout the day.

Things to note
From November 2020, the plan is for Snowflake School to consist of two buildings; the existing Primary site, based in Earls Court and a Secondary site, based in Acton. Although numbers will increase (18 in the Primary Site and 24 at the secondary site over the next 3 years), there will always be a maximum of 6 pupils and 6 ABA tutors in the class.The school has all statutory policies in place. These include: Safeguarding, Health and Safety, Child Protection, Complaints, Whistle Blowing, First Aid, Curriculum, Behaviour Management, Anti Bullying, Charging, Curriculum and SEND. We also have a wide range of non-statutory policies in place.
