On Track Wisbech school is an independent DFE registered, co-educational day school providing specialist education for students aged 11-18. They offer boys and girls with a range of special educational needs and diagnosis of communication difficulties, challenging behaviour, social, emotional and mental health difficulties and more complex needs, an opportunity to flourish in a more bespoke and individualised environment.

Things to note

The school site is a single storey building on a light industrial estate on the outskirts of the town. There are nine classrooms, including a music studio, a kitchen, two vocational workshops and an astro turf sports enclosure.

The On Track Curriculum provides a diverse, broad and balanced alternative curriculum which places value on the development of a wide range of skills and aptitudes. All students will focus on the core skills of Communication, literacy, numeracy, digital competence and social engagement to provide a model of life skills. The curriculum provides flexible accreditation pathways across all subjects and levels from Entry level through to BTEC & GCSE to meet the needs of each individual student and maximise their potential.

Admission Details

Pupils are referred to the school by the local authority, other agencies such as social care, and sometimes by other schools. If a pupil has an EHCP then parents can request a place at this school and a pupil can join the school at any time of the year. Once a pupil is referred to the school, they are invited to visit and look around before they accept a place.
