Oakhill School is Independent Secondary school in Non-selective for kids aged 0 to 16 (Gender - 0 to 16 )
At Oakhill School, they pride ourselves on being a family. This is a school where the staff and the students have the time and space to enjoy each other’s company. Parents and extended family are made welcome and encouraged to become part of our community from the very first time they visit. Although the days are busy here at Oakhill, they will always find time to talk to you about your children.Oakhill School is a small school, which means we are able to provide an individual education to each and every pupil. The pupils leave school with confidence, self-belief and maturity because they have been treated with respect. The values and beliefs are based on faith and this solid foundation forms good citizens who respect and serve others. We instil a strong sense of self-worth and a confidence that will stay for a lifetime.
Nursery
At Oakhill Nursery we welcome our families and extended families to be part of the Oakhill family community and the learning journey of their little one/s. As a community, the nursery has strong links with Oakhill independent school where children who attend the nursery are able to take advantage of a generous discount if they continue onto the school. Being part of this family community means they have access to the sports hall where children can enjoy physical activity using the apparatus provided, a dance studio, millennium hall where the children often have music sessions and Spanish which is brought into the nursery by the language teacher from Oakhill independent school. They are also lucky enough to be supported by three SENCO’s one based in nursery and two in school.
Preparatory
Oakhill Preparatory School is a friendly, family oriented, independent primary school, offering ‘excellent’ all round education and care for children aged 4-11 years. The highly qualified staff are devoted to ensuring that your child achieves their personal potential. The class teachers and teaching assistants play a key role in bringing out the best in the children. They encourage excellence in academic attainment, behaviour and individual performance. The manageable class sizes are considered the optimum for the teaching staff to truly engage individually with every child in each of their lessons, while still enabling multiple and diverse friendships to thrive.
Seniors
Oakhill Senior School is a friendly, family-oriented, independent Secondary School, offering ‘excellent’ all round education and care for children aged 11-16 years. The manageable class sizes (on average 15) are considered the optimum for our teaching staff to truly engage individually with every child in each of their lessons, while still enabling multiple and diverse friendships to thrive. We believe strong pastoral support is essential. Students are led under the guidance of their Form Tutor, and are each assigned their own Personal Tutor in their final years to help steer them through the challenge of GCSEs and the choices which lie beyond Oakhill School. As a small school they are able to give individual time to our students and GCSE students meet regularly with the Principal and their personal tutors to ensure that they are on track to achieve their academic potential.
Nursery Day
At Oakhill Nursery every child is recognised and respected as an individual. They encourage children to show respect for each other and for the people they meet. Excellent care, individually tailored educational activities and a stimulating environment all combine to make Oakhill Nursery and Early Years the right choice for your child. Additional facilities include extensive grounds, allocated parking for nursery parents and the use of qualified teaching staff from the Main School for some subjects.
