Mayfield House School is an Independent School for boys and girls aged 6-14 years who have social, emotional and mental health needs and or associated anxiety. Curriculum
Providing a well rounded curriculum for our pupils is key to their success. The school seeks to re-establish the concept of learning as a positive experience. For each of the pupils, that journey may look a little different and take varied times to access. They take a truly therapeutic approach, during our initial assessments; intheytroduce a number of therapeutic possibilities. Each child's individual needs are identified and a Child Action Plan is established along side their Personal Education Plan. They aim to provide a broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum. Each child works inline with the National Curriculum and their abilities. There is an emphasis on basic literacy and numeracy skills embedded throughout the curriculum.
Alternative Provision
The out reach and alternative provision side is where our staff are able to assist, devise and support. Pupils who have become massively disengaged in their current setting and or could be at risk of becoming excluded due to attendance. They offer various programs to assist schools in bringing their pupils back into education.

Aged between 6 and 14, Evidence of behaviours that affect day to day learning. Complex needs and associated anxieties. A statement of special education needs / EHC Plan or a view to applying for an EHC Plan. Initial enquiry from the local authority or parents to the admissions officer.
