Leighton Park School is a co-educational independent school for both day and boarding pupils in Reading for ages 11 to 18.

Facilities

They have a wide range of indoor and outdoor sports facilities including all weather tennis courts, a flood lit astro turf, an indoor swimming pool, sports hall and 10 acre playing field. In 2018 they opened a brand new dance studio equipped with a fully mirrored wall, double ballet bar, air conditioning and harlequin sprung flooring.

Leighton Park is a selective independent school. Prospective students are required to meet certain academic standards; they consider these alongside your child’s references, reports and the interview. Scholarships

At Leighton Park, a limited number of scholarships are granted for entry to Year 7, Year 9 and Sixth Form, to prospective and existing students of the School. Awarded on the basis of a competitive examination, candidates can apply for any combination of scholarships and may be awarded more than one. The Scholar enjoys benefits from a package of support with exclusive access to facilities to help them develop their talents. Once received, a scholarship customarily lasts throughout the student’s time at Leighton Park but is subject to a satisfactory review of progress each year. Scholarship applications open each September for the following academic year. This year’s application deadline for September 2023 is 18th November 2022. Please note that scholarships cannot be deferred, even if a student is offered a deferred place. Parents and guardians interested in September 2023 entry for Year 7, 9 and the Lower Sixth will be contacted early in the Autumn Term and notified that scholarship applications are open.
