L'Ecole des Petits offers a healthy and safe environment for our children to start their educational journey. They value their happiness and well-being above all. Bilingual Teaching
L’Ecole des Petits is an international bilingual school that follows the French curriculum with parallel teaching from the English curriculum. The method is unique in the manner it combines different languages through different subjects. Children are immersed in both languages and cultures throughout their day at school, whether in class, in the playground, in canteen, in arts and sports or on outings.
Early Years
Underlying the school ethos is the aim to encourage children to enjoy coming to school, to feel safe and to be happy there; this in turn makes them receptive to learning and allows us to open their minds, to encourage curiosity and to develop their characters and personal abilities.Building on this, the objective of our teaching is for them to master skills in both languages and develop an understanding of both cultures through being exposed to the specific qualities and characteristics of both the French and English educational systems.
Learning Support
L’Ecole des Petits is a non-selective school which welcomes pupils from different cultural, linguistic or academic backgrounds. We celebrate and respect differences and pupils with specific needs are valued in the same way as any other child.They assist pupils in many different ways including developing reading comprehension and spelling skills, personal organisation and social skills… Support is given within the class and/or in one to one sessions or small groups by member of staff working closely with the form teacher.

Library
The library is open every day to all pupils and teachers; it houses many fiction and non-fiction books in English and French. They also have many audio resources and magazines for children and teachers.Whilst the ever-increasing use of online tools, computers and tablets is now part of life, we strongly believe in the continued traditional use of the library room and the physical use of books. This not only gives the children an opportunity to increase their learning, but also to develop their imagination, to discuss stories, to learn to respect peace and quiet, and to enjoy the pleasure of turning the page and reaching the end
