Alleyn's School
0.00 miles
Alleyn's is one of the country’s leading HMC co-educational day schools, committed to achieving academic excellence within an ethos of strong pastoral care and a vibrant co-curriculum.
In 2019, we commemorated the 400th anniversary of our Founder Edward Alleyn's establishment of his College of God's Gift. To mark the occasion, we introduced the free-to-attend All@Alleyn's series of workshops and lectures, and launched The 400th Anniversary Campaign: Growing Bursaries for the Future, in support of our aim to double our means-tested bursaries provision.
2019 marks the 400th anniversary of Edward Alleyn's College of God's Gift, founded in Dulwich by the celebrated actor, entrepreneur and benefactor. In the four centuries since 1619, Edward Alleyn's original vision for exceptional education has developed into several schools across London, as well as the original Chapel and Almshouses in Dulwich. At Alleyn's, we want to celebrate this astonishing story, and to build an enduring legacy which echoes our Founder's own.
We very much hope that our School and wider community will want to join with us throughout 2019, as we commemorate 400 years of history, welcome the community for the free All@Alleyn's programme of performances, workshops and lectures, and signpost our 400th Anniversary Campaign: Growing Bursaries for the Future. This ambitious new fundraising campaign seeks to dramatically extend our bursary provision for girls and boys; widening access to Alleyn’s School for those who would not otherwise be able to attend. Supported by a line-up of dedicated Ambassadors drawn from the wider Alleyn's community, the Campaign strives to raise funds to increase means-tested bursary provision from the current 10%, to 20% of our pupils.
To be updated
Alleyn's is a selective, co-educational school and we attract families and children from diverse backgrounds with a range of personalities, talents and interests which need to be met. So, we aim to create an environment for each child to achieve their best academic progress by developing the children's sense of confidence. To this end we offer small class sizes in a well-structured school where teachers work towards creating a calm, purposeful but vibrant atmosphere, so that high levels of participation are possible for all children.

Fees for the academic year 2020-21 are set out below.
Junior School
At Alleyn's, help with fees is available for children who might flourish here, but whose circumstances mean that they might not be able to afford to attend our happy school.
There is considerable competition for our limited bursary funds and our bursary offers (of up to 100% of the fees, depending on need) are made to clever children whose performance in our entrance assessments indicates that they are likely to benefit most from the education we offer at Alleyn's. In addition, the WJ Smith Trust offers means-tested bursary assistance (up to 100% of the School fees) to candidates who demonstrate exceptional music promise at the music scholarship audition.
Scholarships (which can be worth up to a maximum of £5,000 p.a. and are not means-tested) may also be awarded in conjunction with bursaries.
