Al-Khair School Preparatory School is Independent Primary school in Croydon for kids aged 4 to 11 (Gender - Mixed )

Al-Khair Foundation (AKF) is a leading UK-based Muslim charity, and they have been engaged in charitable work for almost 17 years. The focus remains today to educate orphans and children from underprivileged communities. Our work in education led to our work with widows and vulnerable women, and then to the establishment of the AKF shelters. In consequence we have also launched our water aid and livelihood projects, and the Al-Khair Foundation medical aid programmes.AKF has been at the forefront of assisting those in the most need, In 2005, AKF rose to the challenge of providing emergency aid during the Kashmir Earthquake of that year. This was our first venture into the area of Overseas Disaster Relief. In the same year, during the winter months, AKF distributed food, shelter kits and medicine to survivors of the quake.

From the moment you pass through the threshold, the warm atmosphere of the school envelops you and you are instantly put at ease. As you walk our corridors and visit our classrooms you will be struck by the calm but purposeful working atmosphere and the bright, happy faces of our students. We want our children to embrace daily challenges and to use the experiences to make them stronger. We want our children to work beyond their expectations so that only then will they truly realise that the impossible is indeed possible.They are proud of our children and we make sure we take time to track, record and celebrate their achievements. The Islamic ethos permeates throughout the school, through the daily prayers, morning duas, Islamic and quran lessons. We are proud of the Islamic values instilled in our children. Our Ofsted reports comment on the excellent behaviour of our pupils, their attitude to work and the fabulous relationships they form not only with their peers but with the staff too

ENRICHMENT CLUBS 
Enrichment opportunities at Al Khair Primary School are integral to the complete, holistic development of every child. All children have the right to develop new skills, confidence and leadership; working independently, or within a group to enhance their learning experience. Commitment to a team, skill, project or performance aids each pupil’s sense of pride, self-worth, and achievement, whilst building a platform for academic accomplishment.They believe that learning extends beyond the classroom and offer a range of enrichment activities. These activities help pupils learn new skills, develop their confidence, teamwork and communication skills. Our enrichment activities comprise of charity Initiatives, interfaith links with other schools, junior road safety, swimming classes, links with local college and House competitions.
